YouthCaN Med

YouthCaN MedYouthCaN Med is an off-shoot to the successful YouthCaN program. It is designed for students to enhance their understanding of environmental, social and civic education issues in the Middle East.

The environment is a topic that brings all countries together as equals in discussions around common issues and problems we face. Through YouthCaN Med students guide and facilitate a network of students around a common theme.

They explore the theme, investigate and propose solutions to local issues and convene at an annual environmental videoconference to share their findings and present their projects.

The conference is linked to parallel events by videoconferencing with YouthCaN in the United States, Egypt, Slovenia to creatively present, share and propose solutions to the issues for which they have researched and campaigned. IEA established the YouthCaN Med program in 2001.

In 2011 YouthCaN Med took place at the Hajj Baha Eddine Hariri School, in Saida.
