I-DO Program, Lebanon
Students create educational content and produce classroom videos

The I-DO program complements the Fifty Connected Schools initiative which aims at connecting 50 secondary public schools from various Lebanese regions with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, MEHE, via a WAN operated and supplied by the Ministry of Telecommunication and Ogero. Together, the I DO and the Fifty Connected Schools projects form a model for a National Education Network (NEN) in Lebanon.
The I-DO program is divided into two main components: Educational-Collaborative and Applications-Services that can be provided at a first stage over the network.
The scope of the Educational-Collaborative component is to create digital educational content to support existing curriculum and to create video outputs and related documentation based on collaboration between teachers from different regions and between the teachers and their students.
The Applications, Services and Supporting Functions component includes developing a content feed for a Digital Media System (DMS) provided by Cisco and installed at the MEHE; it also includes an update and maintenance plan, manage live events: broadcast live events, record and broadcast later live events, store and post live events and customize and configure the Show and Share and DMS to run smoothly the planned activities.
